Contracting options
The flexibility of the product permits you to choose between three application options:
- Basic coverage:
- Health care in Spain: reimbursement of 100% for non-associated centres and use of associated centres.
- Medication: 300 €/year.
- Auxiliary means: 1,800 €/year.
- Dental service: Available in associated centres with a payment system. In non-associated centres: Reimbursement 80% (3,000 €/year certified centres + non-associated centres).
Basic coverage + repatriation
This also includes, in the event of the decease of the insured person, transfer to the international airport nearest to the place of burial place in Germany (maximum of 6,000 €).
Basic coverage + repatriation + Best care
The Best Care service guarantees medical care in Germany by prestigious specialists for the diagnosis of certain serious illnesses. Including 100 days/year of coverage in Germany.
Best Care
This is a medical care service in Germany provided by prestigious specialists for specific serious illnesses. DKV organises appointments, hospitalisation and surgery in a maximum of five days if medical reports are written in German or English. It also includes compensation of 500 € and another 500 € in the event of non-fulfilment of this term.
Coverage
DKV Residentes guarantees quality health care to older people. This is a mixed insurance policy where clients may choose between our list of associated medical centres or other centres, with a 100% refund.
Primary health care
The health care module includes:
- General medicine and nursing services.
- Paediatric care and nursery care.
- 24 hour home and hospital emergency services.
- Analyses and X-rays.
Specialists and complementary means of diagnosis
Gynaecology, cardiology, asthma and allergy, as well as their respective means of diagnosis are included in this module. Because being able to visit a specialist and diagnosing an illness in time is a priority.
Hospitalisation
Includes individual room with bathroom and bed for visitor (*), and all expenses derived from the hospital centre: patient care, nursing and operating theatre expenses, medication…
* except for psychiatric hospitalisation, I.C U. and incubator
Worldwide health care in the event of emergency
Our health care policies include travel health care in the event of an emergency, with Europea Asistencia for visits under 90 days. Europea Asistencia A permanent 24 hour a day service, available on 00 34 91 379 04 34 , even with reverse charges.
- Transfer and repatriation of the injured or ill persons.
- Early return in the event of the death of a family member.
- Telephone medical consultation.
- Locating and transport of luggage.
- Medical, pharmaceutical and hospitalization expenses (maximum of 12,000 €).
- Emergency odontological expenses (maximum of 12,000 €).
Special coverage
- Medication: 300 €/year.
- Odontology.
- Surgical prothesis.
- Homeopathy: visits and/or sessions maximum of 50 €.
- Auxiliary treatment for dressings and orthopaedic material.
- Special auxiliary means: wheelchair, oxygen aparatus, guide dogs, etc.
Contractual stipulations
- Maximum age 75 years (*) age change date.
- Minimum age 50 years for the insured person.
- Discount according to mode of payment: o 4% annually, 3% six-monthly, 2% quarterly
- Compulsory direct debit in Spain (*) 70 years for Best Care contract.
Qualifying periods
All services included in the policy can be used from the first day with the exception of:
- Transplants: 12 months
- Dental prosthesis and maxillary orthopaedics: 8 months
- Hospitalisation and surgery*: 6 months
- Best Care: 3 months
- * Hospitalisation for life threatening illnesses or accidents does not have a qualifying period.
- No qualifying period: nuclear magnetic resonance, scanner, radioactive isotopes, cobalt and radiotherapy, dialysis and lithasis.
